Ada Black, lovingly known as Ma Ada in the City of Wilmington, believes community and family are key to success in business and in life. An entrepreneur in the food business for decades, Ada always dreamed of taking her love for water ice to the streets full time. She is recently retired, which has afforded her more time to expand from water ice to plant based burgers (and sometimes soft pretzels!).

She frequently enlists family and neighborhood youth in her business to help them gain marketable, entrepreneurial skills. As someone who loves to give back to the community, Ada often donates her time and food to area oranizations and events in the city.
